Brooke Burke’s new role: Mommy Correspondent

Brooke’s been reaching out to other moms through her newish website that launched May 2009. Now she’s joining another media venture: The Doctors.

The show airs five days per week and is basically trying to be the Dr. Phil of modern medicine. In fact, it’s created by the Dr. Phil team (including Dr. Phil’s son, Jay McGraw). There’s an ER doc, an OB/GYN, a pediatrician, and, of course, a cosmetic surgeon.

And now there’ll be a Mommy Correspondent: Brooke.

“I’m happy to be the bridge between the Mommy community and The Doctors in hope of getting answers to everything women want to know but are too afraid to ask,” she blogged.

Full disclosure: I haven’t seen the show yet. So when I first saw this news, it seemed a bit of a stretch. But after reading about the other hosts, I think Brooke should fit right into the talk show’s celeb lineup, which includes Dr. Jim Sears and one-time Bachelor Dr. Travis Stork.

Brooke debuts on the show Nov. 5. Have you watched The Doctors? With Brooke in this role, are you more or less likely to watch and/or submit questions?
